The new View Premier Campus-wide Program provides campuses with the ability to deliver rich, personalized virtual desktops from a virtualization platform built to deliver the entire desktop, not just applications. This allows campuses to provide students with unlimited access to the full suite of View Premier products including View Manager and View Composer, vShield Endpoint, VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter, VMware ThinApp and Workstation.
The perpetual license under this Program is geared towards Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Students, Part Time Students, Staff and Faculty and is offered on a concurrent connection basis. This means that if you have 6,000 students but are running labs with a 50% concurrent connection rate-that you will only require 3,000 licenses. Please note that customers in North and Latin America are required to purchase a minimum of 1000 seats in order to qualify for the pricing under this program. In all other regions, the minimum required purchase is 500 seats in order to qualify.
