Choosing Your VMware vSphere Edition
The rich capabilities of VMware vSphere are packaged into multiple editions to fit the needs of any organization. Each edition includes a hypervisor as well as features to support basic consolidation, improve availability, protect data, automate resource management, and simplify operations. For the hypervisor, customers can choose to deploy either VMware ESXi or VMware ESX as the hypervisor architecture for vSphere. (Please note that ESXi is the preferred hypervisor architecture when deploying vSphere). VMware vSphere is available in English, German, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.
