VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is an end-to-end solution for virtual desktop management that gives you the ability to deliver desktops from the data center for greater control and flexibility. With VMware VDI, you get:

• VMware Infrastructure 3, the proven virtual infrastructure software suite, including VMware VirtualCenter for management
• VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM) 2, the enterprise-class connection broker that connects remote users to centralized desktops and manages VDI environments

To use the product versions listed below, you will need valid license files for each component. Learn more about how to buy VDI.

To obtain your license, please follow these steps:

1. Purchase Bundles or combine à la carte options for VMware Infrastructure 3 and VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM), and you will receive your license activation code(s) and/or serial number(s).
2. After making your VDI purchase, redeem your license activation code to create your VMware Infrastructure 3 licenses and/or serial number to activate VMware Virtual Desktop Manager.
3. Alternatively, you may choose to evaluate VMware VDI for up to 60 days.
