Compensation

Our salaries are more than competitive with other technology companies in the Bay Area. There are opportunities on an annual basis for performance-based salary increases and additional stock options.

Work-Life Balance

Plan on eight (8) paid holidays and three (3) floating holidays each calendar year, three weeks of personal time off (PTO) beginning with your first year, as well as additional PTO granted with years of service. Health Insurance

You are offered a health care plan that provides you with several choices. Your health benefits are, for the most part, fully covered by the company and are effective on your date of hire. Your dependents, including domestic partners and their dependents, can be added for a minimal charge.

  • Medical coverage:

  • Prescription drug coverage. After an initial co-payment, Anthem Blue Cross/Kaiser/Tufts pays all charges for covered prescriptions.
  • Vision care coverage. The Vision Service Plan covers certain expenses for vision care and eyeglasses.
  • Dental coverage. The Delta Dental plan provides our dental coverage.

Financial Protection

VMware takes care to provide insurance for your financial protection.

  • Short Term and Long Term Disability. You will receive a substantial portion of your income if you are disabled for a short or extended period of time.
  • Group Life Insurance. 2x annual base salary is offered by the company at no cost to you and there is an option to buy-up to have more.
  • Worker's Compensation. For temporary disability related to job injury or illness.

Savings/Investment Plans

VMware offers you several avenues for tax-deferred savings and investment.

  • 401(k). Diversified investment options that can help you save and invest for the future with no waiting period to be eligible.
