VMware Studio System Requirements

VMware Studio has the following requirements:

  • VMware Server 1.0.4, 1.0.5, or 1.0.6 for provisioning new virtual appliance (Download VMware Server here)
  • SSH daemon running on the VMware Server host
  • Recommendation of 1GB of RAM for the VMware Studio virtual machine

VMware Studio 1.0 supports the following browsers for accessing its web interface:

  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0
  • Firefox 2.0.0.14 or 2.0.0.16

Virtual appliances created using VMware Studio can run on the following products:

  • VMware Server 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, or 2.0.
  • VMware ESX 3.0.3 or 3.5 Update 2.
  • VMware ESXi 3.5 Installable Update 2.
  • VMware Workstation 6.0.4.
  • VMware Player 2.0.4.
  • VMware Fusion 1.1.3.

Supported Operating Systems

Please use one of the following supported operating systems:

  • Ubuntu 8.04 (i386)
  • Ubuntu 7.10 (i386)
  • Ubuntu 7.04 (i386)
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 (i386)
