Catbird’s virtual agent,V-Agent™, is industry’s first & only comprehensive security solution for virtual infrastructure

Features

The Catbird V-Agent™ provides a full spectrum of security services in physical and virtual environments. Unique in the industry, V-Agents deliver comprehensive security - including protection for virtual networks; between guests; between guests and hypervisors; and between guests and the external network itself. The Catbird V-Agent can monitor virtual segments within a host as well as physical network segments connected to the host. The Catbird V-Agent delivers the operational flexibility that is a hallmark of virtual infrastructure. Unlike traditional host-based security solutions, stateful appliances and proprietary hardware solutions, Catbird's unique stateless "in-the-cloud" architecture is 100% plug-and-play for virtualized environments. Security data is maintained even as V-Agents are shutdown or redeployed. As a stateless agent running as a guest on the virtual infrastructure, V-Agents are simpler and less costly to deploy and manage than traditional security solutions yet provide comprehensive hacker protection inside and outside the virtual network.
