Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 with latest VMware Tools
Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron full Gnome desktop installation with latest VMware Tools
Features
The Ubuntu Desktop VMware image is based on Gnome 2.22.1 and the final Ubuntu Hardy Heron LTS with the latest VMware Tools. It's useful for running Ubuntu and Windows together to maximize the number of available desktop applications.
This appliance is prepared for networking from host to guest via VMware Shared Folders, SMBFS or CIFS. It has a homepage with doc pages that explain installation, possible problems and configuration so that it can be useful in a production environment and of course for Windows users wanting to try Linux easily. If the host is online the virtual Ubuntu is ready to install software from 24800 free packages of the Ubuntu repositories. Passwords, a complete documentation of the installation process and a readme file are included in the zip-file.
